The primary concerns where: bandwith, everyone not just hosting on AWS and applying patches quickly.

All valid tbh.

I wonder if the third could be fixed by automization (NixOS? (Would put into qeustion who is pushing the patches tho)).

And the second doesn't worry me so long as my server isnt on AWS (especially since signal servers don't show (nearly) any data)

Someone also asked if signal would ever get decentralization but it seems the current belief is that the tech is not yet there

usually I'm hesitant to say things like that but if with the help of valve linux becomes a platform large enough to be taking serious by people other than developers or geeks I think this will happen

and those drivers will help with that
