Godot has allot of good beginner tools and great documentation (also tutorials on youtube).

It's a solid game engine with low skill floor and a high skill ceiling.

1: yes knowing you have a place to sleep makes me feel like I at least did something "right".

2: Yeah I had been putting off trying shader stuff until I saw you working with block bench which made me wonder what I could do with 3D + pixelart. (This revived some motivation I had been missing for a while as well).
