May your optimism be based in realism, and your pessimism totally unfounded.

You don't watch female streamers because you're misogynistic

I don't watch female streamers because I'm crushed by gender envy every time they speak

We are not the same

Now I can (the Fedi server was down for a while)

I believe it's primarily a combination of 1. the game design class in general making a bigger deal out of issues and actively steering parts of the curriculum in certain directions, and 2. the fact that I have ADHD medication since October, meaning my brain is more structured in general.

There are still significant flaws, but I personally experience fewer of them, although I recognise that is a limited perspective.

You don't hate the FIFA World Cup, you hate capitalism.

And that's valid, but the distinction is important. Because I can't imagine a better display of humanity than the World Cup.

@NicoNickname

Is a sword evil for slicing through armour, flesh, and bone?

Is the smith evil for forging it, when his children get to eat dinner?

Is the soldier evil for wielding it, when his general declared the war?

And, most crucially of all: is a kitchen knife a sword?

Many one-of-a-kind prestigious motorsport races do not have good racing anymore. (Monaco, Daytona)

Isn't it funny how much humans value the connection to a shared history, to the point of undervaluing the present.
