Gen AI and everything it's done in the last few years has really made me rethink my "Technology is neutral on its own, it's only bad in the way it is used" opinion.

Like, yeah I still think technology is neutral in a vacuum, but considering we don't live in a vacuum and never will, that technology will always have to exist in our real world full of politics, incentives, and bad people, maybe a technology can just be bad/evil because it can never not be in the world we live in that is run by evil people.

(also damn I need to learn to write shorter sentences)
