Random hot-take of the day: People way overvalue (or I guess the negative equivalent of overvalue) the significance of being annoying. Like people treat someone being annoying as being roughly equivalent to them being a serial killer, people are so vile sometimes to people they deem "annoying" and it makes me very uncomfortable.
Being annoying is not a moral wrongdoing, and it is generally not something people do on purpose, and it is usually pretty subjective as well. (Neurotypical people on their way to find every single thing a neurodivergent person does annoying and wrong)
Had a rare nice thought that caught me off-guard. I was looking through my bookshelf for something to read when I spotted a book I got when I was 18, the summer before starting University (which I never ended up reading :P). I got thinking "damn that was a while back, have I really changed for any better since then? Would my own self those years back be proud of the person I am now?"
And I realized "well actually yes, a lot.". Like just the fact I have friends would have blown the mind of me back then, but that plus all the steps I've taken, that I am living on my own, have a social life, projects I work on, things I do of my own volition, is already a lot of things I've grown in.
It feels a bit silly to say, cause a lot of people have all those things at that age, most people have all that back when I was still seeing any of that as an impossible imagined future, but it is still nice to feel that I have evolved as a person over the years, even if it is hard to feel that at any given moment
@sara_objectionable Is it like cinematic platformer style (like original Prince of Persia / Another World style)? I'm intrigued but unsure what you are suggesting here
